Notice to our Visitors and Friends,

At Southcare Homes, our number one priority is to keep our residents, their relatives and our staff safe. As you can expect, with the increasing number of reported cases of Coronavirus in the UK, we have taken the difficult decision to minimise all non-essential visits to our residential and nursing homes until further notice. These include routine visits from loved ones and friends, entertainers, hairdressers, and even pets, sadly.

Whilst we can appreciate this difficult decision will be upsetting for relatives who want to visit loved ones, our residents equally are feeling the pain. The team want to keep our residents safe and by limiting visiting, we hope we are preventing the spread into our homes. We genuinely hope you understand why we are taking these unusual precautions. Please don’t hesitate to call if you would like to speak to us directly if you have any questions or concerns.  Please liaise with our Home management team to find out ways you can connect with your loved one.

We hope you all remain safe & healthy.

your home. your care. your way.

to the family.

At Southcare Homes Group, we put the needs of our residents and their families first. That’s why we’ve been able to provide excellent person-centred residential and nursing care across Surrey and Sussex for over 30 years. That’s why, with us you’ll be sure to find a happy home, exceptional care and a truly unique way of living.

We’re going above and beyond to ensure your family and ours are protected and healthy.

We are conscious that recent news reports have heightened concerns surrounding care homes and their capabilities during this pandemic. We understand this may have raised questions in the minds of many of you and we would like to take this opportunity to offer you some reassurance that we have a clear plan in place to protect your loved ones, those caring for them and minimise the risk of infection in our homes.

Our residents’ quality of life and wellbeing is of paramount importance to us. We want to reassure you that despite the changes that have come into place, with lockdowns and isolation, we’re striving to maintain the same routine our residents have always enjoyed and keep things running as smoothly as we can.

Our homes are following the latest Public Health England guidelines, so when it comes to any concerns or any confirmed cases of Covid-19 in our homes, we can implement the latest safety measures to protect not only your loved ones but also those caring for them.

Below are links to our homes’ facebook pages so please follow your Southcare Home so you can see what your loved one has been up to lately. Also, we’d love to help arrange a video call between you and your loved ones. Please get in touch with your local care home to do so.

Relatives and friends will also be receiving weekly updates via our new newsletter, The Southcare Supporter. This will give you updates on resident welfare, activities, events in the home, how our communities are helping us, thanking our carers and any important updates relating to care homes and Covid-19.

Please know that despite the current challenges, our aims as a care group have not changed and our main purpose remains keeping your loved ones safe and providing high quality, person-centred care.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact your local Southcare Home. We will be happy to help you.

The care staff are just amazing in the home. They are very caring and take good care of my father. The food is also good with a variety of meals. The home and staff are very accommodating to my father's needs.

We immediately felt the warmth and patience from the Manager and staff there. When you walk in it feels like a family home, smells and looks very clean. The Manager and staff have been so kind to my sister.

As soon as we brought my mum to look around Freshford Cottage it was a breath of fresh air. My mum enjoys the daily activities and has made new friends. I couldn’t recommend this home highly enough. It’s just brilliant.
