Lime Tree House
Residential Care Home for the Elderly
If you would like to have a meal with your loved one, we’re happy to arrange this in advance.
Caring for a loved one can be immensely rewarding but it can also be very tiring on the family. At Southcare Homes we provide short stays of a few days or longer, enough time to provide a short respite for a carer to “recharge the batteries”.
We offer 24-hour care for all residents. A unique personal care plan is prepared for each resident and it is reviewed regularly. All information, data and records relating to residents remains confidential and is protected. Visits to the dentist, optician and physiotherapist are arranged when required.
Palliative care, or end of life care, is care where a recovery from illness is not expected. At Southcare Homes we understand how upsetting this final stage of life can be for everyone. We offer compassionate and sensitive care.
A home for life with a joyous atmosphere.
Lime Tree House is a residential care home, offering gorgeous views out across the delightful village of Ringmer, East Sussex. It’s close proximity to the historic and popular cobble-stone streets of Lewes, makes its an ideal spot for your new home.
I have received the very best of personal care that a retired person can wish for... staff have given me both close friendship and encouragement... This home is giving me the highest of life in my autumn years."

Our sunny home in Ringmer has 30 rooms, all with en-suite facilities. There is a ground and first floor, accessible via the passenger lift, giving residents full access to the home. Every room is fully furnished and there is the added option to personalise your space and have your own decor and furniture.
Lime Tree has two lounge areas where residents can socialise, enjoy activities and entertainment and relax. One leads into the large garden via wood decking. Guests are always welcome to spend time with their relatives here.
Lime Tree’s separate dining area is the perfect place to tuck into the range of nutritious meals and various menu options available. Menus can be easily adjusted to suit everyone’s tastes.

Our care plans are individually created to meet the needs of all of our individuals and their families.
Not a morning person? That’s fine with us. Residents can decide for themselves when they want to get up, go to bed and eat their evening meals.

Lime Tree House Residential Home
Our dedicated activities coordinator creates fun, meaningful activities for our residents and organises regular entertainment evenings. Relatives and guests are also welcome to join in the fun.
We arrange monthly Oomph! trips and other outings so residents and their families can share a day out together. Our residents particularly enjoy our monthly trips to The Depot Cinema, where the movies are brought to life!
We strive to keep our home immaculate and have a maintenance worker on-hand to keep the home running smoothly
We’ll keep you on your toes with regular chiropody sessions and ensure you look your best with our regular hair stylist
All of our homes are independently assessed by the Care Quality Commission which regulates the standards of health and social care in care homes.
Our residents’ care and well-being is of primary importance to all of us at Lime Tree. We value and take to heart the feedback given to us by the CQC and have already put in much effort to improve things since the inspection in July (published in August 2019). We look forward to welcoming the CQC back to our home soon so they can see how much positive changes we’ve made.
Making memories at the movies.
Lime Tree benefits from a bus stop right outside the home allowing for many trips out for our residents. This includes our monthly trip to The Depot Cinema in Lewes, which brings the flicks to life and is popular among our residents.
