Liji – Senior Healthcare Assistant, Grasmere
I joined Grasmere in 2011, and have worked my way up to a senior position. I have been supported for every training available from NVQ2 through to my Masters. I find Grasmere homely with a friendly atmosphere and a caring environment. I would welcome any new staff to join our team.
Kirsty - Senior Healthcare Assistant, Heatherdene
I have worked in the care industry for nearly 8 years and have been here for 6 months. Alongside my role of providing support to our residents, I also supervise other healthcare assistants to ensure they are working to a high standard and I co-ordinate the Care Certificate for new employees to ensure they are trained to provide high quality care.
Kathryn - Activities Co-ordinator, Highbury House
In my role as an activity coordinator at Highbury House, I find that no two days are the same; and what makes my job challenging (and incredibly rewarding) is the crucial fact that no two residents are the same. Every person has differing likes, dislikes, wants, and needs. My job is to ensure that residents are offered a broad range of activities to cater for all tastes and interests, and to make adaptations to ensure that everyone is able to participate if they so wish. From the start, my manager has been incredibly supportive of my thoughts and ideas, and has allowed me the freedom to utilise my creativity around the home. I can’t imagine a more gratifying job — when you overhear a husband telling his wife during an activity that you have organised that he can’t remember the last time he saw her enjoy herself so much, you know you must be doing something good.
Louisa - Administrator, Heatherdene Nursing Home
Since my time here I have met some wonderful residents and staff. We have an open door policy, which I feel is great and inclusive. The home is very welcoming and the support network it provides to its service users and all staff is immense. I am definitely enjoying my time here and look forward to providing an outstanding administrative service to all here at Heatherdene.
Prakash - Healthcare Assistant, Grasmere
Having been here since 2014, I cannot recommend working here enough. The team spirit is terrific and we are fully supported by management. The residents & relatives make this home what it is, and I love being a part of this family.
